A global multi-billion dollar consortium operating within a highly specialised area of manufacturing.
The role:
This is a 6 month interim position supporting the business through a period of change.
The overall purpose of the role:
Accounting for treasury instruments and transactions within the Group, ownership of hedge accounting and analysing complex unusual and new treasury transactions. Designing and implementing improvements to the treasury accounting system and associated processes and internal controls.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare detailed accounting entries for treasury transactions, including those relating to debt (US Private loan and Eurobonds), investments of c €2 billion (including trusts in the US and the Netherlands and significant cash balances), and a currency hedging program to manage transaction and translation exposures.
Valuation of certain derivatives using Bloomberg, FIS Integrity (Treasury Management System) and manual calculations for other derivatives derived from forward rates.
Preparation of technical accounting memos for complex, new and unusual treasury transactions.
Preparation of treasury disclosures in the Group annual and interim financial statements
Who we're looking for:
A qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
Experience of accounting for treasury transactions
Working knowledge of treasury accounting
Understanding of Financial instrument accounting standards
What you will receive in return:
£400 - 470 per day umbrella company (inside IR35)
Hybrid working (2 or 3 days in the office)
A varied 6 month assignment
