An expanding, global security business with headquarters in Buckinghamshire, are looking for a SAP BYD Systems Accountant to join team on a 6 month FTC basis. As part of a major systems transformation project, they are seeking an experienced SAP BYD Systems Accountant to support the financial systems function and ensure smooth operations within their ERP environment.
Role Overview:
The SAP BYD Systems Accountant will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and optimising SAP Business By Design (BYD) within the finance department. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and ERP systems to ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the finance system expert for SAP BYD, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data.

Support the finance team in the day-to-day operation of SAP BYD, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance.

Assist with system configurations, updates, and enhancements to optimise financial workflows.

Work closely with IT and finance teams to ensure SAP BYD aligns with business needs and compliance requirements.

Develop and implement reporting solutions within SAP BYD to support financial analysis and decision-making.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reporting and system processes.

Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliations.

Provide training and documentation to finance team members on SAP BYD best practices.

Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to support system upgrades and improvements.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Systems Accountant with expertise in SAP Business ByDesign (BYD).

Strong finance and accounting background (qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred - ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and ERP system administration.

Knowledge of financial processes, including P2P, O2C, and general ledger management.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP BYD system issues effectively.

Experience working in a fast-paced, global organisation within a finance function.
