Our client, a renowned organisation, seeks a qualified and experienced Group Financial Controller. About the Job:

As the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for producing accurate and timely statutory and group management reporting in line with UK GAAP (FRS102), ensuring tax compliance, managing cashflow positions, and leading the Financial Accounting team.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring accurate financial system balances and efficient working capital management
  • Driving consistency and maintaining financial control standards across the group
  • Reviewing and approving month-end reports for compliance with FRS102 and internal policies
  • Managing monthly management accounts and reports for the Board and Senior Management
  • Providing oversight and guidance on Financial Planning and Tax matters
  • Producing statutory accounts for UK entities and reviewing overseas entity accounts
  • Leading the annual audit for the Group and coordinating project finance audits
  • Reviewing and analysing rolling forecasts of profit/loss and cash flows
  • Collaborating with budget holders to drive standardisation and cost-saving measures
  • Leading the budgeting process, particularly staff costs and overheads
  • Continuously improving key financial activities and leveraging new systems
  • Monitoring KPIs, including cash collection, prompt payments, and foreign exchange
  • Supporting the CFO with board material preparation

About the Successful Applicant:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA professional with extensive experience in managing financial and management accounts and audits. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in leading and developing a finance function. Proficiency in finance systems, particularly MS D365, and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
