About the Role

As the HR Manager and Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements. This includes managing the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with employment law, and maintaining accurate HR records. You will also work closely with the leadership team to deliver a comprehensive HR strategy while maintaining compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.

Duties will include:

  • Managing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and policy compliance.
  • Administering the Single Central Register (SCR) and overseeing the safer recruitment process.
  • Advising senior management on regulatory compliance and employment law.
  • Conducting staff inductions, exit interviews, and probationary reviews.
  • Ensuring GDPR compliance and acting as the point of contact for data protection issues.
  • Overseeing health and safety, and employee welfare, including managing sickness absence and occupational health referrals.

 

About You

The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven experience in leading HR functions. Strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and previous experience in education is essential. Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, alongside excellent IT skills, will be required.
