Group Financial Controller - £100k - Oxford - Hybrid working

The Company is experiencing rapid growth and now has the need to expand further by creating the position of Group Financial Controller.
The role with report directly to the CFO and will support on growth strategy and lead a small finance team.
The Role
Key focus on financial reporting, financial planning and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations. The role will be responsible for managing financial risk, producing financial statements, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasting
- Provide strategic support to the Chief Financial Officer and Management Team
- Monitor and analyse the company's financial performance. Investigate and remediate variances against budget
- Oversee the month-end close activities and produce timely and insightful monthly reporting to management
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting matters as they arise
- Lead the external reporting requirements for the company, including the preparation of interim accounts, preliminary statement and the annual report
- Coordinate with external auditors, accounting & tax advisors for resolution of accounting judgements and ensure reporting deadlines are met
- Oversee treasury activities and banking relationships. Monitor cash flow forecasts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and company policies
- Ownership and oversight of financial systems
- Assist in Company Secretarial matters
What do you need to be successful?
Qualified accountant
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a fast growth company.
Previous experience in external reporting
Technical understanding of IFRS/UK GAAP/US GAAP to ensure accurate reporting
