About the Job:
The Group Financial Accountant will play a crucial role within the newly formed Group Financial Control team. This position is a 12-month maternity cover, pivotal in providing financial expertise and ensuring robust controls and regulatory compliance. The role involves:

Duties will include:

  • Collaborating with divisional finance teams to enhance control environments.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinating and producing Group statutory accounts.
  • Managing tax matters, including Corporation Tax and VAT.
  • Liaising with auditors to agree on audit timetables and providing necessary support.
  • Overseeing monthly reporting and financial compliance for the Holding Company and dormant entities.
  • Supporting the integration of businesses and legal entity rationalisation programmes.

About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and a strong grasp of FRS102 reporting standards. They should excel in building relationships, be highly numerate, and capable of converting data into actionable insights. A collaborative and adaptable approach, combined with robust problem-solving skills, is essential.
