About the Job:
The Group Accountant will play a pivotal role within the Group Reporting Team, preparing consolidated management accounts and lender reporting, supporting the annual audit and statutory accounts, and enhancing group reporting and budgeting processes. This role demands strong technical accounting skills, particularly during acquisitions or other projects.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing consolidated management accounts and commentary pack within the monthly timetable.
  • Managing and completing the monthly group reporting process for UK and European subsidiaries.
  • Posting adjustments and managing group company consolidations.
  • Preparing quarterly reporting for bank finance lenders.
  • Supporting auditors with acquisition and technical accounting entries.
  • Preparing consolidated group forecasts.
  • Setting up and integrating newly acquired companies.
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for complex accounts and reviewing group balance sheets.
  • Supporting the statutory audit process and preparing necessary accounting papers.
  • Collaborating on statutory accounts and disclosures across various jurisdictions.
  • Contributing to the consolidated budget process and implementing process improvements.
  • Providing ad hoc technical accounting support and assisting with other projects as required.

About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) ideally practice trained and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. You will be self-motivated, a strong team player, and an excellent communicator with a keen desire to develop themselves and others. You should have proven experience in influencing change, managing stakeholders, and enhancing processes, along with a high level of honesty and integrity.
