About the Job:
As a Qualified Accountant, your role will involve collaborating with external consultants to document and refine the processes for European VAT returns. You will ensure that these processes are compliant, streamlined, and well-documented, facilitating effective VAT return submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
Duties will include:
- Working with external consultants to document end-to-end processes for producing European VAT returns.
- Ensuring all VAT processes comply with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Analysing current VAT return procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Creating detailed documentation and process guides to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of VAT return processes.
- Supporting the implementation of any process improvements or system enhancements related to VAT reporting.
About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong experience in accounting systems and processes. VAT knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential. You should possess excellent attention to detail, have experience working with external consultants, and be able to document complex processes clearly and accurately. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
