Finance & Admin Officer (Temporary Cover)

About the Role

A temporary position covering from early May to early September 2025, this part-time role (3 days per week or mornings only) requires office-based attendance. You will be responsible for a mix of finance and administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.

Duties will include:

Finance:

  • Preparing management accounts for external reporting
  • Processing sales ledger invoices, including stage invoicing (up to 20 per month)
  • Entering purchase ledger invoices and payments into Sage 50 (up to 20 per month)
  • Managing staff expenses and supplier payments
  • Overseeing monthly salaries and liaising with the outsourced payroll provider
  • Handling banking and liaising with the factoring company
  • Cash flow projections and journal production
  • Responding to finance-related queries and producing reports for clients

Office Administration:

  • Handling phone calls and responding to general queries
  • Ordering office supplies and managing meeting room arrangements
  • Monitoring and scheduling vehicle servicing, MOTs, and tax
  • Maintaining the holiday chart and vehicle bookings
  • Addressing building-related queries
  • Supporting directors with ad-hoc tasks

About You

You will have experience in finance and administrative roles, with proficiency in Sage 50. A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. You should be confident in managing financial processes, liaising with suppliers, and handling general office duties.
