Finance Manager
Location: Bourne End, Buckinghamshire (Hybrid)
Salary: circa £50,000, based on experience
About the Job:
We are seeking a Financial Manager to join our client's team in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire. The role involves managing all company accounts and investments, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing company accounts and managing investments
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports
- Working with a part-time external bookkeeper for accurate financial recording
- Processing month-end transactions such as revenue, accruals, prepayments, and payroll
- Producing monthly finance Board reporting slides with financial performance commentary
- Managing cash flow and updating the 13-week cash flow forecast weekly
- Collaborating with external accountants to produce annual statutory accounts
- Working with all departments and the COO to develop annual budgets and reforecasts
- Using Power BI to reconcile project financials and review performance with the Managing Director
- Sending payroll updates to the provider, reviewing, and authorising monthly payroll
- Implementing and monitoring internal controls and policies to ensure regulatory compliance
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and enhance financial processes
- Preparing regular and ad-hoc reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties
About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in a business or finance environment, possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and demonstrate integrity, reliability, and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
