Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm - £14-£16 per hour - Bracknell

About the Job:
This temporary Accounts Assistant role, covering maternity leave, involves managing Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting duties in a busy finance team.

Duties will include:

  • Accurately recording transactional accounting entries.
  • Reviewing vendor invoices against received stock items.
  • Following up on returned items and obtaining credit notes.
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs.
  • Resolving accounts payable queries.
  • Performing vendor reconciliations.
  • Processing employee expense claims.
  • Managing the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing monthly prepayment reconciliations and journals.
  • Handling VAT returns 
  • Managing import declaration documentation.
  • Monitoring credit insurance and following up on customer debts.

About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable and general finance, including VAT. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Excel are essential. AAT qualification would be advantageous but not mandatory.
