Job Title: Accountant

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
About the Client:
Sole charge Accountant opportunity, working and supporting the Managing Director. This consultancy based business has an impressive track record and is now looking for someone to manage their finances. In this sole charge role you will be responsible for everything from processing invoices, overdue accounts collections to preparing month end, with an element of the role being with the external accountants this is a hands on role, admin will be part and parcel of what needs to be done.
About the Job:
This is a full-time, permanent role supporting the MD. The successful candidate will oversee client and supplier accounts, ensuring the organisation's finances are well-managed and compliant with accounting standards and regulations.
Duties will include:
- Managing client and supplier accounts
- Processing payroll
- VAT returns
- Year End
- Budgets
- Compliance with tax and pension legislation
- Liaising with external accountants
About the Successful Applicant:
You will have experience in finance, ideally you will have worked within a small business and be acustomed to being in a sole charge finance role. If you have knowledge of Xero then this would be an added benefit but good skills with similar accounting packages would also be considered.
You will need to be a hands on person, happy to roll up your sleeves and do everything that needs doing for a small business.
