Case Study: Talent Acquisition Manager for a National Healthcare Organisation
The Consultant
Jodie Hayden and Caterina Glenn - two of our HR specialist recruiters worked in tandem on this assignment.
The Brief
Our client, a nationwide healthcare organisation, approached us to manage a sensitive and confidential recruitment process to replace an existing Talent Acquisition Manager. The role was fully remote, adding complexity as it required a nationwide search for candidates with specialised experience in healthcare recruitment.
Our Approach
After a thorough briefing with the hiring manager, we refined our understanding of the technical skills, personal qualities, and niche experience required. The client was open to considering both senior and junior candidates, so we adjusted our strategy to present a well-rounded selection of talent at both levels.
Given the remote nature of the role, we received over 500 applications. To quickly identify the strongest matches, we proactively messaged each applicant with the three essential criteria needed for the position. This initial communication allowed us to narrow down the pool to 60 qualified candidates for further consideration.
To supplement this effort, we also reached out to the passive candidate market, directly messaging an additional 200 individuals on LinkedIn with relevant backgrounds. After thorough follow-up calls, we conducted initial interviews with 20 candidates, ultimately creating a shortlist of 10 (five at each experience level) for the client.
The Outcome
The client reviewed both senior and junior profiles and chose a senior candidate who was an ideal fit. We coordinated a three-stage interview process, leading to a successful offer and acceptance. The client was very pleased with our diligent handling of this complex, high-volume search and has expressed interest in collaborating with us on future recruitment needs, recognising our commitment to quality and confidentiality.
